Jerald Kerby has worked for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) at the Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) for 17 years in Huntsville, Alabama. He is the NASA Earned Value Management (EVM) Deputy Program Executive and supports EVM implementation throughout NASA. He supports NASA Headquarters development of EVM policies and Agencytraining.
He also leads efforts to implement an Agency-wide data analysis tool support NASA projects, which has led to improved and more efficient Agency EVM analysis. He provides classroom and hands-on EVM and data analysis training to the NASA/MSFC project management community.
At our September 6th meeting, Jerry covered fundamental EVM concepts, discussed current requirements evolution, and explained how to realize benefits from assessing project performance, and the process of estimating future performance. He also discussed EVM acronyms and associated metrics.
