Hello Everyone,
Welcome back after the holiday season. I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing holiday with family and friends, as did I. Now it’s time to go back to work and start the New Year. I hope 2006 will be an exciting year for the Huntsville Section.
The Educational Activities Committee will be very busy over the next few months. The Section will be supporting the North Alabama Regional Science and Engineering Fair NARSEF) in mid-March as well as the Alabama State Science and Engineering Fair (ASEF). Our support of these events will include sponsorship at the Category level for the Regional fair and the General level for the State Fair. Additionally, we will judge the fairs and provide special awards. These awards include a certificate and $100 Savings Bond for 4 Junior and 4 Senior projects in each fair. Planning for the 2007 Future City competition is also under way.

The UAH Student Branch is preparing for the IEEE SoutheastCon Student Hardware Competition to be held in Memphis as well as the Firefighter Competition.
