Hello Everyone,

Welcome to the combined July/August LiveWire!

In this month's edition, EMC is planning a meeting for August 18th and the Section is planning a meeting August 8th. The Huntsville Simulation Conference announcement is also posted; the Huntsville Section is a Technical Sponsor of HSC. Also, the GOLD committee is planning an Education Fair for those considering graduate school and continuing education classes including distance learning.

On June 28th we had the privilege to honor James Anderson as Professional of the Year. See the article in this month's issue. During this past month, Frank Parris, our Educational Activities Chair, attended training for the Teacher-In-Service program. More details will be following including in this issue. Also, Ron Hackett attended the State Board of Licensure for Engineering and Land Surveying on our behalf.

We are continuing our effort to help members get their senior upgrade. If you have not upgraded to Senior Member status and are eligible, please contact Woody Williams so that you can be recognized for your accomplishments. This will not affect your dues. More information is available at the Senior Member web, as well as the new membership portal. Also, here is some membership information for Graduating Students, Associate to Member elevation, and Affiliate to Member conversion.
