EMC Meeting Calendar
April 18 – EMC Meeting:
Concerning the April meeting: instead of the regular Thursday evening meeting, AR WorldWide, Rhode & Schwarz and ETS-Lindgren will sponsor a half day technical session on Tuesday, April 19th followed by a social event. The details of the location are currently in-work by the ETS folks. We will provide one speaker for a 60-90 minute segment on the EMC topic of our choice. We must select this individual as soon as possible to allow time for mailing of the invitations and other avenues of distribution.
This is an open solicitation for parties interested in speaking at this event. Here is an opportunity to test your public speaking skills and impress your friends. If you would care to speak, please notify me of your topic by Friday March 3rd. The AR folks would like to see 70+ attendees to this event, so we need to get the word out to as many as we can.
June-October Meeting Calendar:
For the rest of the year it goes like this with a few additional notes:
October Fund Raising Event:
Concerning the October fund-raising event: we would like to stage a day-long event to address a variety of EMC topics. We plan to rent space to vendors who are interested in displaying their product or services and also possibly charge admission (all modest amounts). I currently have four speakers signed up; we would like to get as many as possible in order to arrange a viable program.
Here is another chance to volunteer! Please let me know if you would be interested in speaking at this event. Also, please begin to contact those product vendors you feel may be interested in displaying at this event.

This year, I hope that we will be able to take advantage of the Distinguished Lecturer Program offered through IEEE. This is no cost to us, we just have to make the arrangements. I have included a link to the DLP list of speakers and topics, a follow-on email in a few days will request a vote. Once a selection is made I will attempt to schedule for possibly August or September depending on our other possibilities. http://www.ewh.ieee.org/soc/emcs/acstrial/distinlec.htm
We, along with the Section level, are planning to put together a proposal to have the EMC Symposium in Huntsville in 2010... The Huntsville Section is very excited and very willing to support this. Jump on board if you're interested; there is quite a bit of work that needs to be done to support this.
