The conference will focus on the latest advancements and economics in electric motor and drive technology. Topics will include: new motors and drives, system design and integration for optimum performance, new components and materials, advancements in electronics and control, testing systems and techniques. Sessions will also cover market and financial aspects such as demand, supply and pricing outlook for motors, drives, materials and components as they relate to total system economics.
In response to attendee requests from last year's conference, this year's program will be expanded to include more sessions on technology developments and economics involved in industrial motor and drive applications.

ELECTRICAL INSULATION CONFERENCE 2005

The Electrical Insulation Conference (EIC) is co-sponsored by the Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE) and the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA).
The Electrical Manufacturing & Coil Winding Association (EMCWA) organizes a technical conference under the name of Electrical Manufacturing Expo (EME) that is held concurrent with EIC. The joint conference offers short courses and workshops on the application of insulating materials, assessment of electrical apparatus and related topics. The associated Exhibition will feature commercial exhibits by suppliers of materials, components, manufacturing equipment and test instrumentation.
Student Stipends
The 2005 EIC will provide $500 (US) towards expenses for up to 10 students on a first come first serve basis. The stipends will be awarded to help full time students to participate in the conference.
