Help With Computer & Technology Fair

SUBJECT: Judges for Regional Computer and Technology Fair for grades 3 - 12

To the High-Tech Community of Huntsville:

There's nothing quite like watching a young student's face shine while explaining a computer project that he or she has designed and developed. You feel good all over as you marvel at these young innovative talents and as you revel in the pride you have elicited. There's no telling how much good your interest can do!

It is time to plan for this year's technology fair sponsored by the Northwest Region of the Alabama Council for Technology in Education (ACTE). We're looking for professionals in the information technology field to donate a little of their time to serve as judges for this excellent event. You have been recommended as a great prospective judge. The donation of your time is invaluable; we couldn't have the fair without the help of the volunteers. Trust me, however, the volunteers always leave with something special – that wonderful feeling that comes from working with enthusiastic, motivated young people.

Last year, almost 40 judges reviewed the more than 320 projects demonstrated by students from across Northwest Alabama competing in seven categories at five levels. Registration for the event is not yet complete, but we expect that we'll need at least that many judges for this year's competition. The basic information is:
WHO: The Northwest Region of the Alabama Council for Technology in Education (ACTE)
WHAT: Regional Technology Fair
WHERE: Von Braun Civic Center
WHEN: Wednesday, March 30th 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (judges will be served lunch
