STEDTRAIN Grants
For a number of years the Section has sponsored one of the STEDTRAIN grants (Science and Technology Education and Training) presented by HATS (Huntsville Association of Technical Societies). These grants are to provide aid to science and engineering related education in the K-12 schools in the North Alabama area. This year the Section provided a $1,000 grant to support Ms. Jane Jones of William's Middle. The title of her grant proposal was Pre-Engineering 101. The picture below is of the teachers, or their representatives, who received the grants. Ms. Jones is the second person from the left in the first row.
