Hello Everyone,

Well the year is definitely winding down now. We’re already into November, so this is the month of Thanksgiving and being thankful for all the things that we have. I plan on spending time with my family and eating a lot of sweet potato pie! :o) Hopefully, you all will take time out with your families and reflect on everything you should be thankful for in life. With the election coming up, I would like to say that we all be thankful just to live in America, no matter what our political preferences may be.

There are many things within our Section that you can get involved with. Most of the Societies will be calling for nominations for their new slate of officers this month, so we can officially have the new officers on board by January. I am personally apart of the Engineering Management Society (EMS) the newest chapter in our Section. We definitely need your help in making this new Chapter a huge success, so call me at 256-544-3312 if you are interested in holding an office within this chapter.

If you want to be a part of our Section planning for 2005, then please come out and get involved. Our Annual Section Meeting will be held next month, and it is usually a fun-filled, social event. We look forward to seeing you there. Until then, have a safe and happy holiday season.
