As part of our celebration, which starts in November, we are trying to assemble our history. We are especially interested in the first 25 years which includes our AIEE and IRE roots from the early 1950s up through the merger of the two institutes in 1963 to form the IEEE and up into the mid 1970s. We have fairly complete records from then on.

Stephen Johnston, Bill Pittman and Sara Haraway are being extremely helpful in filling in the early history of the IRE but we are still looking for people with records or recollections of the AIEE and of the first ten years of the IEEE in Huntsville.
