Chairman’s Corner

Farewell

My second term as Chairman of the Huntsville Section is rapidly drawing to a close. I would like to offer my appreciation for the hard working individuals serving on the Executive Committee who have supported me during the last two years. Without their devotion to the Section, nothing would have been accomplished.

While we had grand plans for several activities that we were not able to nurture, we were able to successfully achieve others. We have continued to support our local community with technical presentations, active Computer, Controls, and AES societies. This past year, we also officially started the Joint Communication, APS, and MTT (JCAM) society. We also continued our support of the Regional and State Science Fairs. The Section also continued its support of the UAH Student branch and UAH IEEE Car Project.

With the help of a very dedicated AUTOTESTCON 2002 EXCOM, we were also able to plan and execute a very successful international conference right here in Huntsville. Furthermore, we were also able to successfully bid for RADARCON 2003.

Next year will also be the golden anniversary of our Section's founding. We are in the process of planning the activities to celebrate this major milestone.

Wish you all a very Happy Holiday Season.
