Abstract: :Dr. English’s talk will outline and illustrate the concept and capabilities of MEMS technology and will describe the technical challenges in MEMS fabrication. Some representative applications of MEMS technology in problems of interest to control engineers will also be described. |

Biographical Sketch: :Dr. English is an Assistant Professor in the ECE Department of UAH. She earned her Ph.D. degree from Georgia Tech in where she conducted research in MEMS fabrication techniques. She is currently developing research activities and graduate courses in the MEMS area and is assisting in the development of a MEMS fabrication facility at UAH. |
