With the school season just about to start, we are looking forward to set the stage for a busy fall season. We hope to have some interesting venues for our local members in the upcoming months.

New CSS Chairman

First of all, it is my pleasure to introduce our new CSS Chairman. Dr. Christian Tournes has accepted to fill the temporary void created when Dr. Dave Hampton announced that he was relocating to New York State. Dr. Tournes comes with high recommendations and the Huntsville Executive Committee is looking forward working with him. We have included Dr. Tournes' impressive biography in this issue of the LiveWire.

Communication Society

We are also actively working towards establishing the Communication Society. Mr. Hans Schantz of Time Domain has agreed to help us start the local society. The Communication Society will include joint activities with Antennas and Propagation Society and Microwave Theory and Techniques Society.
