Alabama Regional Science Fair Winners
On March 13, 2001 Calhoun Community
College hosted the North Alabama Regional Science Fair. Students from middle
and high schools in North Alabama submitted their projects for judging in a competition
to see who would get to take their projects to the state science fair in April.
The Huntsville Section of the IEEE was represented among the judges by Jim
Anderson, Dan Casey, Jim Kennedy, Will Preussel and Wayne Wolf. IEEE judges
focused on the categories of Computer Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics and
Physical Sciences and awarded eight $100 US Savings Bonds to their winners. The
selected winners, who also received a Certificate of Achievement at the awards
ceremony held March 15th., are shown in the table below.
